BWHI Launches Opill Access Fund to Support Black Women in Reproductive Health
We are thrilled to announce the launch of the BWHI Opill Access Fund—a bold new initiative to help ensure reproductive health is never out of reach for Black women.
Through our partnership with Level the Court, and in collaboration with Opill—the first-ever daily over-the-counter birth control pill approved for use in the U.S.—and the WNBA, we are proud to expand access to this historic advancement in reproductive care.
For too many Black women, temporary life circumstances—caregiving responsibilities, educational demands, health conditions, or economic instability—can create barriers to consistent access to reproductive care. The BWHI Opill Access Fund is designed specifically for those moments. Rather than focusing solely on income thresholds, this initiative recognizes that life disruptions often stand in the way of prioritizing our health.
What the Fund Offers: Eligible individuals can receive a free three-month supply of Opill, giving them the opportunity to maintain autonomy over their reproductive health, even during periods of transition or hardship.
Because reproductive freedom shouldn’t come down to your zip code, your paycheck, or your to-do list. It should be a right.
This launch is part of our broader commitment to health equity and reproductive justice. Together with Level the Court, Opill, and the WNBA, we’re creating new pathways to support the well-being and agency of Black women across the country.
