We advocate for culturally-centered, affirming care that prioritizes mental health and fosters positive birthing outcomes for Black mothers in the Antelope Valley.

Restoration and Edification of the Black Family

We are dedicated to restoring and uplifting the Black family through values that reject misogyny, foster healthy relationships, and promote parenting practices that nurture happy, grounded, and Black-centered children.

Building an Ecosystem of Black Excellence

We are committed to strengthening Black communities through an ecosystem of Black Excellence, emphasizing social, mental, and physical health, advocacy, and systemic equity.

Equitable Distribution of Responsibility

We believe in putting in the work, the equitable distribution of responsibility, and self-regulated accountability as essential elements for our collective success.

Abundance and Economic Prosperity

We reject struggle, lack, and poverty, advocating for abundance, economic prosperity, and a mindset + effort that helps us achieve our financial goals.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Black Maternal Alternative Care Alliance provides education and outreach, and direct services to black birthing persons & families using several strategies including:

  • Perinatal Yoga (prenatal-postpartum)

  • Holistic healing (including reiki)

  • Lactation education and support group

  • Community/ group-based emotional and wellness support

  • Perinatal education and peer support groups

  • Effective Black Parenting

  • Community Resiliency Model (CRM)

  • Policy & Advocacy work/support

  • Mommy Mentoring

  • Transportation stipend available

  • We provide linkages to services to employment, entrepreneur development, financial wellness groups, youth tutoring, domestic violence support, and doula services & trainings.
